Who We Are
Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod works in partnership with families in need to build homes, hope, lives, and community.
The Volunteer Coordinator will email you the Check-In and Emergency Contact Sheets before your shift and provide you with a detailed description of your duties. Please print the Check-In and Emergency Contact Sheets out and bring them with you. If you do not have a printer, please tell the Volunteer Coordinator.
Registration volunteers arrive at 7:30 AM to check in volunteers and future homebuyers. They are responsible for setting up the area the registration table, cleaning up after check-in is done, starting the coffee, and tasks to keep the registration shed organized to name a few. It takes about an hour to complete all tasks. ***However, registration volunteers are more than welcome to stay through the 10 AM snack and devotion break to greet the snack and devotion providers and help with setup and clean up.
- All build shifts are waitlist only as we must cycle volunteers on-site due to the immense interest in volunteering at build sites.
- If you are interested in volunteering, you must sign up using the waitlist. The shift quantity will display "0 of 1" and "full." PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE WAITLIST.
- We will review those waitlisted and select volunteers. *An email will be sent three days before the build day to those selected and not selected to volunteer with further instruction.
- If you are interested in participating in this build, please FAN the program, and you will be notified when shifts are available. The Old Kings Highway, Wellfleet build consists of four homes (2 two-bedroom homes and 2 three-bedroom homes). As a result, opportunities to volunteer may be limited.
- We have a morning break with snacks and devotions at 10 AM.
- Volunteers under 18 must email a minor waiver to sandra@habitatcapecod.org before they can sign up for any shift.
You must check in upon your arrival on site.
